John Rozeboom, Interim Ministry Leader
I grew up in Minnesota and lived and worked in ministry in California and Michigan. Linda is my wife -- she's a piano teacher; we have two children, both married, also a son and daughter- in- law and five grandchildren. They live in Grand Rapids (for now) and Santa Cruz, Calif.
An ordained minister, I am blessed to have been a church planter in southern California, a Christian Reformed Home Missions regional director for the west coast, and Home Missions executive director through 2008. I'm blessed to have been around when many people, including me, had their lives taken over by Jesus Christ either again, or for the first time.
For more than 20 years Linda and I have been members of Oakdale Park Church, a flourishing core-city Grand Rapids church, a member of the Christian Reformed Church family. I have been involved in Oakdale ministry leadership support for more than a year, and look forward to beginning a formal half-year commitment as Oakdale Park ministry leader on May 16, 2010. God is good!

James Jones, Pastor of Congregational Life and Outreach
Pastor James Jones and his family have been at Oakdale for over 11 years. When they came they were looking for a church that had a heart for the lost and was a fit for their family. At Oakdale they found both. Pastor James’ passion for bringing people to Christ drove him to transition from his previous career in the car business into full time ministry.
He and his wife Denise have been married for 18 years and have six daughters. In addition to spending time with his family, James also enjoys hunting and fishing.

Prior to this she spent 6 years serving in various roles at Tall Turf Ministries. Outside of working with Children & Youth, Javonna loves to read, spend time with friends and family and take long walks (finding this a time of relaxation and communing with God). Javonna can also be quoted as saying about her new role here at Oakdale “I am very excited about this new phase in my life and I am looking forward to the work God has called me to do as well as the impact being here will have upon my life”.
